Kin Folkz (they/them) Lauded by the Huffington Post, selected as a 2018 SF Pride Grand Marshal, and co-featured in the 2020 GLAAD award-winning documentary “State of Pride” Kin Folkz is a celebrated educator, human rights artivist, author, and community organizer. As the co-founder of The East Bay’s very 1st TGNC-led LGBTQIA+ Healing Arts Center, Digital Archive + Gallery, Kin and their collaborative of Oakland, California based QTBIPOC + Ally interdisciplinary artists and health practitioners - offer the global community creative opportunities for holistic wellness through culturally competent, accessible workshops, interdisciplinary art programs, innovative community-building events, and human rights advocacy. This includes the Queer Arts Center's coding and graphic design tech bootcamp for marginalized LGBTQIA+ beings, and their art-in-actions - including the Bay Area's longest street mural seen around the globe that proudly proclaims "All Black Trans Queer NonBinary Woman Disabled Imprisoned Lives Matter".
