About the Event
On behalf of a collaboration of organizations serving the LGBTQIA+ community AND the Queer Arts Center’s BOOM QTBIPOC Youth + Family Group, I would like to invite you to the East Bay Queer Healing Arts Center’s Oakland Mayoral Candidate Forum. - Kin Folkz (Queer Arts Center • Executive Director)
WHAT: A vital in-person and Instagram live-streamed 60-minute community conversation discussing the issues facing LGBTQIA+ youth and families with Oakland's 2022 Mayoral candidates. Through this forum, we will:
share what LGBTQIA+ youth + families believe are the most important realities impacting our community; and
give the mayoral candidates an opportunity to publicly respond with ways that they plan to address those issues if they are elected.
WHEN: Sunday, September 11th from NOON to 1 PM
